2008 Election Results
April 2007 and May 2007
The NASW Washington State Chapter elections were held during the month of April 2007 and May 2007. The ballots were mailed out approximately April 15, 2007, to all members of record. All ballots were to be returned postmarked by May 31, 2007, to be eligible to be counted.
There were elections for statewide offices and region positions. The statewide offices included: treasurer-elect, VP professional Development, VP social and political action, BSW student representative, and MSW student representative. These statewide positions will serve on the Board of Directors at the start of Fiscal Year (FY) 2008. There were numerous region positions to be elected as well. These positions were for the region representative to the Board of Directors and for the Nominations Leadership Identification Committee (NLIC). The terms for these positions also start July 1, 2007, the beginning of FY 2008.
The ballots were counted on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the NASW Washington State Chapter office. The individuals that counted the ballots were: Taylene Watson, Chair NLIC; Frank Irigon, 2007 Treasurer; and Hoyt Suppes, Executive Director.
