   NASW WA State Chapter:   Election Information

 

    This is the “Election Edition” of “Currents”.  Inside you will find the names of the

    candidates running for NASW WA State Chapter offices.  The elections are for Board  

    of Director and non-Board of Director positions.  The Board of Director positions are 

    for Chapter president-elect, secretary, vice presidents, region representative, and

    student representatives.  The non-Board of Director positions include NASW National 

    Delegate Assembly, and region nominations leadership identification committee

    members.  The term of office will start July 1, 2006, and end June 30, 2008, with the 

    exception of the president-elect term which is a one year term.  The president-elect 

    will then become Chapter President July 1, 2007 and serve a two year term.

 

    The Chapter’s Nomination Leadership and Identification Committee (NLIC), is

    currently chaired by Audrey Burr from the Inland Empire Region, Spokane, WA. 

    The NLIC contacted Chapter members across the state to become involved in the

    Chapter leadership positions.

 

    To be eligible to serve in an elected position, the social worker candidate has to be a

    member of the Washington State Chapter.

 

    Please review the information submitted by the candidates prior to marking your ballot.

 

    Please vote for one candidate in all state wide positions; and vote for one candidate in

    each position in YOUR region.  There is a chart on the bottom of the ballot that

    identifies the counties and zip codes in the regions to assist you in identifying which

    region you are in.

 

    You will have to provide your name and NASW Chapter Membership ID# when you

    submit your ballot.  Please SIGN your ballot and return it to the Chapter office by

    May 30, 2006.  Your ballot MUST BE SIGNED and postmarked by May 30, 2006    

    to be counted.
