Continuing Education

Washington State Continuing Education Units

Washington State requires that after you obtain your license you receive 36 hours of continuing education every 2 years (six of those hours must be in professional ethics and law).  NASW Washington State Chapter helps you in many ways to maintain these credits.  We offer workshops throughout the year on many different topics.  Please view your upcoming workshops to see what we have to offer.


Professional Ethics and Law

NASW Washington State Chapter also tries to make sure we have at least one workshop a year that will help you to obtain the six professional ethics and law credits needed for your two year cycle.  Also, some of our regular workshop that are presented during the year may offer professional ethics and law credits.  For more information on our professional ethics and law course click here.


LASW/LICSW Licensure Prep Course

LASW/LICSW Licensure Prep Course is another workshop that we offer for social workers that are preparing to take their exam for licensure from the ASWB.  This course will be very helpful in passing your exam.  It will help reduce anxiety and improve your test taking skills.  For more information please click here.


Distance Learning Program

NASW Washington State Chapter also offers a Distance Learning Program.  We have  different course to help you with your continuing education credits.  For a list of what we have to offer please click here.  Distance learning credits are limited to twenty-six hours.


CE Provider Program

NASW Washington State Chapter offers a CE Provider Program to agencies or individuals that would like to be able to offer continuing eduction units at their trainings.  If you would like to become a CE Provider you can learn more on how to become a provider by clicking here
