Nomination Leadership Identification Committee

NLIC, with the support of Chapter staff, has responsibility for: making reasonable efforts to slate at least two qualified candidates for each position in an election of Chapter Board members, Delegate Assembly (DA) representatives (if any), and NLIC members; Certifying to the Chapter Board Secretary the completed slate of candidates for compliance with the Chapter’s Diversity Plan; accepting and reviewing nominations by petition; and monitoring the election process and providing oversight for any alleged violation.

Erica Allison (MSW, LICSW, CMHS, CATP) lives in Vancouver, Washington and has a bachelor’s and a master’s in social work and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Her direct service experience is in working with children and families in the LGBTQ community and those experiencing trauma. Her current work has allows her to combine her passion for social work with her passion for impact and evaluation, which has allowed her to show the impact and great work of those on the ground working with children and families.

Emily is a licensed clinical social worker with ten years of clinical experience and over ten years of experience as a social work educator in higher education. She is a longtime NASW member and has been serving on the NASW Board since 2017.

Garrett Hebel, MSW, LICSW, SUDP

With a Bachelors in Social Work and Spanish from Loras College in Dubuque, IA, and a Master of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago, Garrett spent two years working in adolescent residential trauma and behavioral rehabilitation in Chicago, IL and moved to Seattle in 2016. In 2016, he joined Harborview Medical Center in Seattle to serve as a Mental Health Practitioner, in which he provides outpatient assessment, case management, referral, and group and individual therapy for clients with mental health and substance use disorders. Garrett was previously the co-chair of a Young Professionals special interest group with the NASW-IL Chapter, and previously, the chair of the Legislative Action Committee with the WA Chapter, and he currently holds licenses in WA as an Associate Independent Clinical Social Worker and Substance Use Disorder Professional.

Amy Trussell (MSW, LCSW) received my MSW from University of Texas in Austin and have my LCSW in FL, GA and ID. She has social work and leadership experience in child welfare, community mental health and managed care. She is currently a senior manager of a specialized program in a managed care company. When not working, she enjoys volunteering at Meals on Wheels and spending time with her husband and two sons. She lives in Spokane, WA

Ann Allen

Ann Allen (LICSW) received a masters degree in social work in 1988 from the Michigan State University. She works in Seattle in integrated behavioral health care at a healthcare clinic focused on working with Asian-Pacific Islanders and immigrants at International Community Healthcare Services. She is a behavioral health provider and a specialist in high utilizers of emergency services, complex care, homeless, and co-occurring disorders. She is also a practicum instructor for Seattle University and the University of Washington advance degree programs.
