About the Event

NASW-Washington State Chapter is pleased to offer a deeper dive into the three elements that contribute strongly to preparing individuals to pass the ASWB exam. Please note that this course is exclusively for individuals who have already participated in The Licensure Examination Preparation Course.

NASW-Washington State Chapter has offered the popular prep course to social workers seeking to become licensed at the advanced or clinical levels. The Licensure Examination Preparation Course does a fantastic job of introducing and teaching the element to success: Anxiety Management, Focused Content Review and Avoiding mistakes when answering questions. Many participants have asked for more. This workshop is not eligible for CE Contact hours.

The consistent feedback from participants and facilitators reveals a more focused time to practice the strategies taught in the course would be beneficial.

This course is for individuals that have already participated in The Licensure Examination Preparation Course.  During the three hours together, you will review the self-assessment and anatomy of a question for clarity and spend much of the time deconstructing questions and building that muscle memory for using the strategies during the exam.

Be prepared to discuss barriers and success in your study process, what you realized when you were honest with your self assessment, and questions that have come up since you took the prep course and began preparing for the exam.

We will work together to help build the tools you need to be successful.

About the Presenter:

Elisabeth A. Bridgewater, LICSW is a Clinical Director for Associated Behavioral Health Care in Bellevue, WA. Elisabeth graduated with a BA in Psychology and MSW from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She started her clinical career in Eastern North Carolina in a community center with a focus on substance use and mental health. During this time, she was provided given the opportunity to be intensively trained by Behavioral Tech, LLC in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) where she was able to implement a full fidelity program in three counties. In addition to the implementation of DBT, being able to learn DBT at this level shaped her clinical and leadership lens that she continues to use in her work today. In 2013 she and her husband relocated to Seattle, WA. She continued her work in the community setting until 2015. At that time, she transitioned to various clinical and leadership roles at an integrated health care system. Building on her early work, she provided clinical supervision and DBT consultation to her work. In 2021, she transitioned to her current role at Associated Behavioral Health Care which includes supervising SUDP and licensed mental health counselors, and creating clinical standards and guidelines. In addition, Elisabeth lectures for Seattle University's MSW Program, University of Washington School of Social Work, and other organizations in the Seattle area.

This workshop is not eligible for CE Contact hours.
